Day 5 - Describe an object that matters to you, without saying why.

It's made of a stack of paper, usually in the size of b5 or a5 - the size I usually like to get. The papers get binded so that they stick together and it prevents the paper being scattered when being carried. The bind usually comes with different types. Well, I'm not familiar with the name of the binders, but one of the type is called ring binders.

I personally find comfort in using the ring binded notebook because I am able to flip the page fully, which gives me plenty of space to write or doodle, but the downside is that the holes in the papers usually comes out of the ring. Worst of all, the back pages are usually the first to tear off.

For the cover and back cover, there are two types. Soft cover and hard cover. I like to have it soft cover because it is lightweight and I can bend it for whatever reason that I want. Many types of lamination is provided for the soft cover. I can only recall dove and matte, but I'm pretty sure they have over 5 kinds of it. As for hard cover, I am not too detailed about this but I know for some types of notebook a layer of leather can be sticked to create a more exclusive look.

The paper inside also have different types. Import and export. I personally prefer the export because the paper texture is similar the typical book I'd buy from the bookstores. It's also thinner I guess. Pattern options are available for the user to choose. Lines, dots, grids, and blank. My go to pattern is blank as I like to write freely on the paper. Recently I tried using the dots pattern and found comfort in using it too. I haven't been able to use the dots pattern much because it's not something I use almost every day, but I'm eager to try more.

This object is something I unnoticably use for a long time in my life.
